John was offered to the Tizers on a bosman in early June 09 but had to wait for his chance in the team as the Tizers had a full squad, however when injuries and holidays left a threadbare squad John got his chance. John initially played games as our back Goalie however played the majority of the 2010 season at fullback. 2011 has saw him make a big claim on a centrehalf slot with some tenacious preseason displays. Masterplan was first choice centrehalf for the 2011 season and his 2012 preseason form shows he's determined to keep the position.

Interesting Fact:
This season John is spnsored by Charlie Sheen's Tigerblood, FACT! He also likes to mention the fact he was injured by teammate Laurie Laurenson playing against Ness at least twice a training session.

FUNNIEST TIZERS MOMENT:
Following the DITT cup win in 2012 and the post win schenanigans John Masterman ended up sleeping in his car in Brae all cuddled up with the trophy.
