David McShane (1)

The Wrultizers started this match with a burning desire to atone for Wednesdays farcical display. This task was made all the harder as they were missing several key players including Jamie Manson who failed to make it thought the warm up. The match started at a furious pace with Andrew Boyd and Niall O’Rourke taking control of the midfield for the Tizers. The Wrultizers were almost hit on the break when Kyle MacDougal was released but a last ditch tackle from Adam Doull cleared their lines. This tackle sent the ball upfield, David McShane killed it instantaneously before sliding an inch perfect through ball to Steven Glaister who coolly finished to claim his first goal since his return.
Moments later McShane almost increased the Tizers lead with a venomous half volley that struck the base of the post. Services started to fight back with Tony Farquhar and Graham McAnnaly imposing themselves through the middle. Tony Farquhar almost found an equaliser on the twenty minute mark when his long range shot was turned around the post by the returning Liam Doull.
The Services revival however was short lived as Stuart Grains ball over the top was latched onto by Glaister for the striker to chip the keeper for the second of the match.
The second half started with Services bringing on some subs and changing their formation, this seamed to peg the Wrultizers back and won Services a series of corners. The last of these corners had a moment of karma that wouldn’t have looked out of place in “My name is Earl” where after receiving an off the ball elbow Adam Doull was left in the perfect place to acrobatically clear of the line.
The Oranje should have finished the game of in the 63rd minute but the Services keeper got a hand to Steven Glaisters shot. As this save was made outside the box everyone was expecting the keeper to see red but the referee gave him the benefit of the doubt and only brandished a yellow. The Tizers then almost finished things in style when substitute Laurie Laurenson ran almost the length of the pitch completing numerous one-twos before placing a shot just wide of the goal.
The final goal came right at the end of the game, when most on the pitch were thinking of cool beers and hot food, Andrew Boyd chased a seemingly lost cause stopping it just before it rolled out of play. Boyd looked as amazed as anyone that he had managed to keep the ball in play but managed to compose himself to square the ball to David McShane who stroked the ball home. Best for Services was Tony Farquhar, for Wrultizers however although many players excelled themselves Andrew Boyd was head and shoulders above everyone else.
